Years Training and History in the Industry
I have been training for 6 years now. My fitness journey started when I had become overweight due to family stress and brokenness. I started training with a trainer and fell in love with fitness and the community it offered. Fitness was a great stress reliever and I began to see a change in my energy and strength and overall health.
Describe in 2-3 sentences what you do.
I offer a free boot camp two times a week at Dream City Church. I focus on power, strength, and endurance to produce athletes that have endurance stamina and functional fitness. The goal is to give hope so that no matter what your fitness level is, you just have to get up and move and be consistent to see a change in your fitness goals.
What sets you apart as a trainer?
I am a volunteer, and I do what I do because I want to see Christians be healthy and take care of the body God gave them. I want people to do more for the kingdom and their families and reach their dreams, which happens when we are healthy and active. This is my ministry to help people become the best version of themselves.
What inspired you to get involved with training?
I am not a certified trainer, but I have knowledge of how to run an effective group training. I got involved in group training because I love the community and cheering each other on in our goals. Group training is a small group in our church, where we train hard, pray for each other, care for one another, and develop friendships.
What is your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of what I do is seeing people change! I love watching them do the things they said “I could never do that” I love watching the progress! When I see a husband and wife lose over 150 pounds combined and walk in healthy and confident, that’s worth it all. Its all about HOPE CONFIDENCE and GROWTH. That brings a smile to my face and joy to my soul.
